My Survivor Friend

This novel (in the pipeline) is not only of a woman surviving and processing complex childhood and later institutional trauma, but it is also a narrative of love.

It reveals a friendship that helps one heal and the other come to understand and admire what it takes for a survivor to heal from the cruelty of humans.

Based on a true-life story, it is told in the voices of several parts, or alters, of the survivor, as well as the voice of the friend who journeys with her as she unravels and heals.

As a writer, the abuse of children globally, and the collateral institutional abuse is an issue close to my heart, and I hope by writing of one such survivor, awareness will be raised for vulnerable children worldwide.
